Deka and I have just returned from our trip to Vietnam. We were hoping to run out there but having looked on You Tube before we went, there are almost 3 million motorbikes in Hanoi, the capital, and there are few traffic lights or road lanes. Walking across the road would prove difficult, never mind running. Anyway a bit more research online I came across the Hanoi Hash House Harriers.
By mistake I entered the GER 2011 thinking it would be ages after the Great North Run as it was in a different month. My mistake. The 14 days flew by and, without much in the way of training in the meantime, I headed north across the border for this 10k feeling a little under prepared.
There was a big X in my diary on Monday telling me not to work as it was the night of the Robin Hood 10k in Jarrow. I did this race last year and

We have planned a course recce of the Great North 10K route. Anyone wishing to attend (even if you're not a member of Tyne Bridge Harriers) is welcome to come along.
Our very first Club Championship Race will be held at the Morpeth 10K on Tuesday 2nd August Race starts at 19:30 & is hosted by Morpeth Harriers.
