Training Sessions w/c 2nd December 2013

This week’s training sessions are;

Tuesday 3rd December

Race 3 of the TBH Winter Series, an exact 5k race along the Quayside which crosses two iconic bridge’s across the Tyne – Millennium Bridge and the Swing Bridge.

Don’t worry if you haven’t competed in either of the first two races as your current form in training and any recent races will be taken into consideration when the Handicaps are set. New runners to the club are also welcome to take part in the event.

For runners not familiar with handicap races, basically the slower runners start before the faster runners and if everything goes to plan everybody finishes at the same time!

The event has a limit of 150 competitors so runners are asked to fill in this pre-registration form to ensure a place in the race and are then required to confirm their register at East End Pool between 6:00 – 6:30pm before making their way to Low Walker for the 7:00pm start.

Further details about the event can be found here and a map of the route here.

(the event requires lots of marshals and stewards, so if you want to help out in any way we’d love to hear from you).

Wednesday 4th December

Beginners session, starting 6:30pm at East End Pool.

This session is aimed for beginners and may be unsuitable for experienced runners.

Thursday 5th December

New runners are always welcome along on a club night to try out the training sessions.

There’ll be no pressure to join, no expectation to run beyond your means and you won’t be left behind to run on your own.

If you are interested in trying a training session with Tyne Bridge Harriers, please complete this form & one of our coaches will get back to you.
