Mark Reynolds sends in this report from the inaugural Gateshead parkrun where we had 2 Tyne Bridge Harriers taking part. Saturday 18th February 2012 marked the day when the parkrun phenomenon arrived in Gateshead. Much work has been going on behind the scenes
Despite the awful weather conditions, there was a great turnout of Tyne Bridger’s at the 105th Newcastle parkrun event (with half a dozen more members helping out with volunteering duties). And the club were awarded by their endeavours with Sparrow Morley, and latest recruit, Jordan Mullinger, finishing first in the male and female categories respectively.

10 Club Athletes represented Tyne Bridge Harriers on Saturday morning on the Town Moor / Exhibition Park, for the 96th running of Newcastle parkrun. The course had been changed to accommodate safety measures due to the increasing number of runners that are taking part. The new route is considered to be faster too. 261 runners waited at the line for the 09:00 start.
Another fantastic turnout from Tyne Bridge Harriers at the weekend where 14 Black n White vests lined up for the FREE weekly 5k race on Newcastle Town Moor.
Just a reminder that this Saturday 4th June sees the third race in our series of six Newcastle parkrun GP Series on Newcastle Town Moor.
The following athletes from Tyne Bridge Harriers from took part in today’s Newcastle parkrun. Sparrow John Richard MORLEY was the first athlete across the finish line today. He completed the course in 17:37
