There’s some cyclist on the course! They think it’s all over. It is now.
Congratulations to Tyne Bridge Harriers’ Men’s Team who emerged victorious in this year’s Town Moor Memorial 10k race.
The four-man team, consisting of Sparrow Morley, Simon Kristiansen, Rob Clark and Kev Jeffress, held off strong challenges from Gateshead and Heaton Harriers, and by winning the Men’s competition also retained the Watson Challenge Trophy.
Tyne Bridge had a fantastic turn-out at the event, with several members posting PB’s (personal best), so a massive well done to everyone involved.
Ian Hudspith (Morpeth) won the race and Alyson Dixon was first female finisher.

Should these times be the chip times? As far as I can see Sparrow’s time is his chip time but everyone else’s time is the official time. Quite frankly, I need all the help I can get and my chip time is a whole 43 seconds faster!!
Vicki, I have enough trouble sorting out our own Grand Prix results let alone getting involved in Heaton’s race results
I’ll keep checking their website to see if they update the times.
Also missed Euan Clubbs off the list as he hadn’t joined the club when he entered so TBH didn’t show up on his entry!
The false start that resulted in the athletes being called back to the start line after 0.8 miles made this a memorable memorial 10k! Despite the problems, it was a great event. Almost perfect conditions, great TBH support all around the course and lots of individual and team successes. All in all a red letter day for the black and white army.
and there I was thinking we were going to get through an entire posting without mention of a little bit of red haha!!
Now now David, a little bit red never hurst anyone!
Oh yes these are the gun times doesn’t look so good lol , should just use the times off race timing systems . Don’t like my pb spoiled by having 18 seconds added too it lol. Was a great day & a fantastic turnout
