Congratulations to Caroline and Alan who both recorded parkrun *PB’s and well done to Paul and Matty who completed their first parkrun event.

Many thanks to all the volunteers and parkrun sponsors.

  1. Hi Beth, because of the varying nature of the parkrun events (i.e. Hartlepool flat and fast – Gibside undulating), all parkrun PB’s are event specific. So even though your time of 26:37 is your quickest time at an parkrun event (well done by the way), it’s not a PB at South Shields because it was your first time running that course. I hope that makes sense.

  2. Just figured this out… I always thought the ‘event specific’ thing meant your parkrun 5k time didn’t count as your 5k time! You learn something new every day :)
