Firstly, a big shout-out to Steve Cairns, who recorded a remarkable 88.26% age grading on Saturday. Anything in the 80’s is terrific but pushing close to 90 is outstanding. Well done Steve.
Congratulations also to Katie Monnelly, Harriet Chapman, Rebecca Parkin and Paul Gibson, all of whom recorded a parkrun PB. Even though their times or age gradings didn’t match Steve’s, as runners, all we can do is better ourselves and run quicker than the last time. So you guys deserve just as much praise.
Rounding off the celebrations, it was a special weekend for Dave Young and Penny Wilmott as they completed their 50th and 100th parkrun respectively.
