2013 Malaga Marathon: Sunday 7th December

Well done to the 3 amigos who completed this year’s Malaga Marathon, especially Emma Wright who was tackling her first ever marathon. And she finished 11th Senior Woman to boot

Confirmation of 11th place (Senior Women)

2013 Newcastle Half Marathon: Sunday 7th December

8 laps around Gosforth park (as used in the Norman Woodcock 5M) doesn’t sound appealing at the best of times, but with a strong westerly wind blowing across the course, conditions were made even tougher for the competitors. So fair play to Dave Moir, Sophie Marr and Izzy Knox – competing in the 50k race – for putting in some fine performances.

1:20.58 David Moir (2nd place overall)

1:33.45 Sophie Marr (3rd lady & 16th overall)

2013 Newcastle 50k Race: Sunday 7th December

4:01.01 Izzy Knox (1st lady and 6th overall)

Full results can be found here.

2013 Simonside Cairns Fell Race: Sunday 7th December

1:23:07 David Beech (2nd place overall)

1:28:49 Cees van der Land

1:36:16 John Tollitt (running as NFR)

1:36:32 Nick Pearson

1:42:12 Jonathan Powell

Outstanding run by Nick Pearson at Simonside cairns. Contender for Run of the Year in my opinion.

Thanks Al! Not sure about run of the year mind! Think I might be better in the fells than on the road though.
