Well done to club members GEMMA BRADY and GAIL ALLAN for taking part in this year’s BUPA Great Winter Run in Edinburgh.
The 5K race was one of a number of events on the day, and given the nature of the course (“the hills were hardcore” said Gemma afterwards), both ladies are to be congratulated.
Gemma’s time of 27:35 placed her as 165th lady (696th overall), whilst Gail – recovering from an illness – ran 30 minutes exactly to finish as 317th lady (1007th overall).

Well done Gemma and Gail. I’ve ran around that course before and know how challenging it is, so you’ve both done great.
Well done to Patrick Duffy (Heaton Harriers) too, for finishing in 2nd place overall.
Hurraaahhh!!! Thanks for the mention and the support, the hills WERE hardcore, but I loved it :D And I loved representing our die hard Tyne Bridge Harriers.
