Season’s Greetings to you and yours. Santa’s Elves (aka the Committee) have been hard at work coming up with some fun ways to make 2022 a great year of running. We have decided that we will hold monthly challenges (in place of the member of the month award) with the usual voucher being awarded to the winner. The challenges will cover a variety of events and competitions.
To kick things off, January’s challenge is to achieve the greatest improvement in a parkrun time. Whoever achieves the biggest % improvement during the month of January will be awarded the prize. Your time will be compared to your best previous time on the same course – although tail walking times won’t count! As an example, if your previous best time at Jesmond Dene was 30:00 and you run a time of 27:00 then you will have achieved a 10% improvement.
You don’t need to submit your results but times will only count if you have Tyne Bridge Harriers assigned as your club on parkrun. Information about changing your club is available here
