Jacqueline Etherington reports from the latest North Easter Masters Track & Field fixture.

NEMAA T&F: Fixture 4. Monday 4 July 2016

In the 4th of 6 NEMAA T & F fixtures, the horrendous heavy downfalls of rain did not deter the 16 hardy souls out representing TBH!

Spirits were high, 13 new club records were achieved (3 by newcomer to the league David Frost, and 2 apiece by Kevin Cheetham, Jen Patterson and Sandy Anderson) and the male contingent narrowly missed winning Monday night’s fixture by 5 points. There was also a big welcome to NEMAA debutantes Bam Rashid and Ian Walton.

Brilliant effort all round, well done gents!

Overall, the men sit in 3rd position (out of 14 teams) & the ladies 2nd (out of 9); continuing to demonstrate TBH’S diversity over all ages & disciplines.

In the individual series, Jacqueline Etherington tops the FV35 throws & jumps tables, Paul Routledge leads the MV55 middle distance and Rob Kirtley the MV45 throws table. Sandy sits 6 points behind the leader of the MV65 throws and Maggie Davison 4pts behind the leader of the FV55 throws :- so plenty to go for!

The next fixture is Monday, 18th July so let’s get plenty more new faces out!
