Pier to Pier 2014
A brisk North-westerly wind made for favourable conditions as runners made their way along the coastline from South Shields to Roker.
And as a reward for their efforts, finishers were given a goody-bag containing a mars/snickers bar, crisps, energy gel, water bottle, pair of socks and a stylish buff. The race was won by Andy Burn (Jarrow & Hebburn) with Rosie Smith (Durham Harriers) 1st Lady.

Leeds Half-Marathon 2014
Many congratulations to Anji Rippon on smashing her half-marathon PB at the Leeds HM. A time of 1:48:56 knocked off a whopping six minutes from her previous best.
