It was smiles all round as several Tyne Bridger’s smashed their 5k PB during Sunday’s Middlesbrough College 5k race.
In a race where the first five finishers all ran under 15 minutes, it was man-of-the-moment Marc Fenwick who came home first for the club, with a fantastic time of 15:07.
In the battle for second place club member, Sparrow Morley (16:33) finished just three seconds ahead of Joseph Turner (16:36), with Darryl Davison a further six seconds behind (16:42).
Lizzy Clamp completed the quintet of club members, finishing in a time of 23:43
The race was won by Dominic Shaw (New Marske) in a time of 14:43, with Danielle Hodgkinson (Wallsend) first female in 17:07.
