This week’s training sessions are;
Tuesday 5th February
TBH Winter Grand Prix: Race 5
A timed 5k race along Newcastle Quayside, starting at 7:00pm.
The race is open to all club members but they must register at East End Pool between 6:00 – 6:30pm.
Competitors are also reminded to carefully read the race guidelines (a copy can be found here).
Wednesday 6th February
Beginner’s session for anyone who is completely new to running and who would like to experience the benefits and enjoyment of this leisure activity. It will not involve speed work and will purely be about getting into the sport and experiencing the benefits of doing so with the support of a running club.
The session may also appeal to those runners who have had time out (due to injury or other reasons) and who would like a slow return to running. As the pace and distance of the session will be dictated by the ability of the slowest runner, it will not be suitable for faster and more experienced runners who will probably find the sessions frustrating.

Thursday 7th February
Group 1: 25 minutes Tempo Surge
Group 2: 25 minutes Tempo Surge
Group 3: 25 minutes Tempo Surge
Group 4: 10 minutes Tempo, 6 x 30 seconds, 1 Mile fast
Group 5: 20 minutes Fartlek
All sessions to include warm-up and cool-down runs.
