Training Sessions over Christmas period

Hi folks, please find below some of the things going on over the festive period.

Saturday 24th: Newcastle parkrun (5k run) website link for details http://www.parkrun.org.uk/newcastle/home

Monday 26th: Woodlawn Xmas Pudding Run (3.5 miles along Whitley Bay sea front), starting at 10.30am and hosted by North Shields Poly running club.

Registration opens at 9.00am on the morning of the race and costs £6.

Following the race, there will be a 6 mile easy run along the coast for club members. (Members are quite welcome to come along, watch the race, and then take part in the 6 mile run).

Tuesday 27th: Byker pool is closed today so members are encouraged to meet up between themselves and try a steady tempo run (5 miles at half marathon pace). OR, you could take part in the Guisborough Woods Fell Race (approximately 6 Miles). A few members will be travelling down in the morning for the 11am race start and would be more than welcome to take anyone interested.

Thursday 29th: Byker pool will be open as usual and the proposed session for groups 1, 2 & 3 is 2 x 2 miles.

January 1st: If enough members can crawl from their beds in the morning, there will be an internal club ‘fun-run’ along Newcastle Quayside.

Alternatively, there are numerous other races members can enter on the day, with Morpeth 11k, Town Moor Resolution Run and Hardmoors 30 just being a few of them.

Keep checking the website for further details, and if you have any comments or queries, please leave below and we’ll get back to you asap.
