Newcastle parkrun results – Event 100

On Saturday, 10th December, Newcastle parkrun celebrated it’s 100th run with a special relay race and a ‘small’ party in the park cafe afterwards.
Unfortunately, as the event was on the same day as the North-East Cross Country Championships, a lot of regular club runners (including several from Tyne Bridge) could not make it along to join in the celebrations.
However, out of the 200 finishers who completed the 5k course, there were eight members representing the club, including Keith Rooney making his parkrun debut with a reasonable time of 23m 44s. Daniel Birchall was first finisher for the club in a time of 18m 38s.
Well done to all the runners and congratulations to Newcastle parkrun for reaching this magnificent milestone.
Tyne Bridge results are shown below and full results can be found here
