A massive well done to the TBH Juniors who ran in terrible conditions at the Jarrow Junior Cross-Country (Saturday, 4th October).

In spite of the cold and wet conditions, Millie Rowe, Jake Moir, Lauren Bird and Sophia Das all bravely gave it a go and all done brilliantly.

Jake, running in the Year 4 boys race, finished 26th out of 55 (he’s in Year 3 but was allowed to compete) and Millie took part in the Year 4 girls race.

GO ON JAKE!!!

GO ON JAKE!!!

Millie and Jake. (Hopefully Jake will wear matching shoes next time <img src='https://www.tynebridgeharriers.com/juniors/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_wink.gif' alt=';-)' width='20' height='20' class='wpml_ico' /> )

Lauren and Sophia competed in the Year 5 girls race, and if anyone had doubts what the race meant to the girls, they only had to witness their ding-dong battle in the finishing straight, with Lauren momentarily pushing aside their friendship to beat Sophia in a sprint finish.

But on a day like this, it really was about taking part and enjoying yourself.

Well done all
