2018 President’s Shield

The President’s Shield is an internal club competition for all TBH members.

Members compete in a series of pre-selected races during the year, with points awarded on participation and finishing position. 

Participation points are awarded in relation to members regular training group; so Gp 1 runners receive 15 pts per race, Gp 2 30pts, Gp 3 45 pts, Gp 4 60 pts and Gp 5 runners 75 pts.

Points are also awarded on a member’s finishing position, with 100 pts awarded for a Top 5% finish, 90 pts for a 6 – 10% finish, 80 pts for 11-20% finish, 70 pts for 21-30% finish etc. 

15 bonus points will be awarded for winning an individual or team prize.

 

There are ten scoring events, with the best six results counting towards a member’s final score.

Members are automatically entered into the President’s Shield, so there’s no need to register/sign-up.

Members must be listed as ‘Tyne Bridge Harriers’ in a race to score points. 

Although entry into the President’s Shield competition is free, members must pay their own race fees where applicable.
