This week’s challenge replicated the most prestigious inter-club event of the year, the National 12/6 stage relays. This event has been graced by many of our Olympians and this week it was the chance for the Tyne Bridge Juniors to have a go.

4 athletes were selected to run the the long leg (2.2 miles) and 6 were selected to run the short leg (1.1 miles). In, what proved to be a very competitive and enjoyable challenge, the Lockdown Legends again proved to be the dominant force.

Next week we see the introduction of an enhanced handicap system that is going to require the Legends to up their game if they want to make it a hat-trick of wins. But who might take their crown? The Rockets edged their nose ahead of the Striders this week but there were only seconds separating nearly 2 hours of running. Good luck.
