A few questions to ask before you train

Everyone is busy before a training session or competition so here are four questions every junior should ask themselves to make things easier for everyone.

How do i feel?

If you have been unwell or injured then don’t wait until you’ve started a training session to say something. Tell parents beforehand or your leader when you arrive.

what time do i need to be there?

Make sure you arrive in time and are ready to start immediately, that includes having the right kit and not needing the loo.

WHAT’s THE WEATHER LIKE?

If it’s going to be cold then a hat, gloves and a base layer may be needed. If it’s going to be hot then suncream, a hat and extra water will be required.

AM I HUNGRY?

Don’t eat a meal immediately before activity. If you’re feeling hungry then bring appropriate snacks such as a banana or a cereal bar.
