I started running at junior school and used to really love cross country.  Unfortunately at senior school girls weren’t allowed to do cross country, which was very annoying as I had to go and watch my two big brothers run instead.

I didn’t take up running again until the age of 30, after I had my first baby.  It was a great way of getting fit again and I really enjoyed it.  I started doing Newcastle Parkrun, and then joined Tyne Bridge Harriers, which I absolutely love.

I’ve got three children now, and they are all keen runners and are much faster than me!  I’ve made lots of friends through running and it’s a great way of keeping fit, as well as dealing with the stresses of everyday life! TBH Juniors is a lot of fun and we aim to make sure that everyone has a good time!
