2012 Awards Night

  1. Firstly, many congratulations to all the winners listed above.

I know from speaking to the voting panel how difficult it was selecting a winner for some of the categories because there were so many outstanding results and performances throughout 2012, so just to be selected ahead of your fellow team-mates is an achievement in itself.

As for my own award, being named Member of the Year, I feel truly honoured.

I could reel off a dozen names whom all do such much work behind the scenes at the club, yet never get any recogonition for their efforts, so I would like to thank them for making my role within the club that much easier.

Now to focus on that Veteran Athlete of 2013 award ;-)

To all at TBH: I am honestly honoured to have just received a text from Paul telling me I had been given this award: I feel that to be appreciated for what you do and stand for by your friends and peers is the highest honour you can receive and will rank up there with my most treasured awards:

To explain to those who don’t know why I was not there or why you don’t see me that much: I had planned and had hoped to race yesterday and come to the night out but I was not allowed to race due to non residency: I therefore had to look for another race as for those who know I work shifts so don’t get many weekends free. So I ran the scottish east champs in Cupur. I then could not justify the expense to get down to Newcastle for a night out: Sorry common sense won over:

The clubs enthusiasm and passion have reminded my why I run!! So thank you and I hope to see you at a race very soon!!

    Hi all,

Apologies for not turning up on the evening, going through a “feeling sorry for myself” weekend, picked up a injury so my world has come to a stop haha. Hope everyone had a great evening, and i would like to say a huge thankyou for the award of best newcomer.

In such a short space of time since joining the club i feel my running has improved vastly, so thankyou very much, without me going to deep, ha-ha, ever since leaving the Army, ive struggled to adapt and fit in, and joining the club and has giving me that sense of being part of a team again and has given me the oppurtunity to meet amazing people, So thankyou.

Have a great Xmas and New Year….
