On a hectic weekend of racing for Tyne Bridge members, several of them kicked off proceedings by taking part in their local parkrun.
At Newcastle, 14 members ran the 5k course around the Town Moor, with David Beech, Stephen Dixon, Simon Pryde and Annette Kelly all running PB’s. Well done all.
Meanwhile, down in Whitley Bay, Donna Scott was making her parkrun debut and ran a respectable 30:44. Although I’ve no doubts that will soon tumble below the 30min barrier.
Finally, Sophie Marr and Chris Parkin made the short journey to Riverside parkrun (Cheste-le-street) and both clocked great times.

Just realised I was still registered as a Claremont Road Runner for my first Parkrun – I have now changed to TBH!
