Xmas Pudding Run 2011: Report

A fantastic day was had by all as a record 780 runners turned out at Whitley Bay Links on Boxing Day to run the 3.1 miles of the Xmas Pudding Run 2011.

Tyne Bridge Harriers at Woodlawn School Christmas Pudding Run 2011 - Whitley Bay Links

Tyne Bridge Harriers had a superb presence at the run with 17 runners taking part in the Charity Fun Run event.

In blustery conditions, the field of Boxing Day Athletes took on the 3.1 miles along the seafront of Whitley Bay and, in the process, raised some well deserved funds for Woodlawn School. All finishers were rewarded with a certificate and a Xmas Pudding at the end.

Huge thanks to the Volunteers, Marshals & Helpers from WPFA and North Shields Poly who gave up their time on the day to make sure this important race went ahead without any major hitches.

Thanks once again to everyone who took part

Well Done !

an excellent morning for the TBH – cracking team spirit and support, lots of laughs, a good hard race, and a great warm down 4 miler at the finish. Kevin’s first outing for the Harriers and a cracking good run from him as well.
