‘Summer Series’ GP: Race 2 TONIGHT

Club Captain, Paul Hilton reminds us that Tuesday 17th May sees the 2nd race in the Tyne Bridge Harriers ‘Summer Series’ GP.

Summer Series

Tyne Bridge Harriers before the start of Summer Series Race 19th April 2011

Unlike the first one, these races will now be a handicapped system – slower runners get set of before the faster ones and if we get it right and everyone runs to current form it should be a blanket finish !

Plus, there’s more…. as the winner of the race on Tuesday will get an automatic & FREE entry into the Morpeth 10k in August which is also acting as our very 1st Club Championships, so its all to go for!!

Paul asks anyone that isn’t racing to come along and help marshal / timekeep / support.

The 2 mile Club Race is scheduled to start on Armstrong Bridge, Jesmond Dene at 19:00. Runners taking part can either meet at East End Pool at 18:15 and jog to the start or meet on Armstrong Bridge at 18:45.

If you did not take part in the first race, your handicap time will be allocated prior to the start.

Club Vests should be worn but not compulsory (it does look better if you do)

See you there !!

I’ll be able to help out with either timing or marshalling on the course.
