Newburn River Run: 19th June 2013

Continuing his recent great form, Marc Fenwick finished in a superb 2nd place in this year’s Newburn River Run, narrowly being beaten by Morpeth Harrier, Matthew Nicholson. Nicholson’s Morpeth team-mate, Nick Swinburn, finished 3rd, with 1st Lady Aly Dixon (Sunderland Strollers) finishing 4th overall. Newburn River Run – June 20th 2012

Club captain, Paul Hilton, writes… This Wednesday, June 20th, is the date for this year’s Newburn River Run, hosted by Elswick Harriers. This is a 6.5 mile race, setting off from Newburn Leisure Centre, and runs adjacent to the River Tyne towards Wylam. After approximately 3 miles the race crosses the river and returns back towards Newburn along the South side of the Tyne.
