TBH Member of the Month: April 2015

For April’s Member of the Month, the voting committee invited nominations from club members and the response was overwhelming.   There were almost 50 nominations, ranging from members who had achieved PB’s or won awards (Magda Grinsdale‘s 10K PB and Alan Hodgson winning two NE Masters Gold Medals), members going out of their way to …

Small world. You travel half way across the top of the globe to take on Vancouver’s finest* in the Run Canada Day 10k, and what’s actually going through your mind on the start line is the need to beat the guy from Wallington in the Great North Run t-shirt. To be fair, Vancouver’s best weren’t …

MoN Race Report – 28 April 2013

It was another memorable day for Tyne Bridge Harriers as PB’s were smashed left, right and centre at this year’s Marathon of the North running festival.   With members taking part in all three events; 10k, half-marathon and full marathon, there was plenty of action to keep the large contingent of supporters occupied, and as the runners came storming …

Hashing in Vietnam!!

Deka and I have just returned from our trip to Vietnam. We were hoping to run out there but having looked on You Tube before we went, there are almost 3 million motorbikes in Hanoi, the capital, and there are few traffic lights or road lanes. Walking across the road would prove difficult, never mind running. Anyway a bit more research online I came across the Hanoi Hash House Harriers.
