parkrun roundup – 25th August 2012

Congratulations to Sophie Marr for finishing 1st lady at Newcastle parkrun on Saturday.  In damp, muddy conditions, over 200 runners completed the 5k run around the Town Moor, including seven Tyne Bridge members.  David Beech, making his parkrun debut, was first finisher for the club in a cracking time of 17:11. (updated 27th July 2012) Following sterling work by Newcastle City Council and members of Elswick Harriers, this year’s Elswick Cup went ahead without any problems, and on a successful night for Tyne Bridge Harriers the club won the Men’s team prize and made a clean sweep of the Veteran Men awards. Newburn River Run – June 20th 2012
