Mal Gibson champions the cause for the North East Masters T&F and asks for your support.
Following our strongest start in the league in our short history, next Monday, 2nd June, sees the 2nd fixture of the season, at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow. The action starts at 6.30pm and includes 800 and 1500m races as well as sprints and field events.
Both the men and women lie 5th after the first match. It can be used as an enjoyable social occasion or a chance to compete over something shorter to enhance your training for longer events.
The first meeting included some brilliant performances. Edwin Wong and Jacqueline Etherington both made track and field debuts for TBH. Jacqueline won 2 events and Edwin became a future quiz question (which club member competed in a 100m and a marathon in the same week?) Old stagers like Micky Baker, David Moir and Lisa Walker did their bit as well.
It would be great to see more people there, either competing or supporting this up and coming event.
We have plenty big vets hitters to come in.
