Jake and Hope Moir (children of Dave & Emma) report from Sunday’s mudfest at Gosforth Park.

Gregg’s Cancer Run – Sunday 19th May

We did the race to raise money for children who have cancer.
When we got there we saw our friends from school, and we saw more friends during the race, and we also saw DD and Paul Hilton who were cheering us.
It was a very muddy 5 miles, which was a long way. It was raining at the start, and then it dried up.
The whole family went. I held Mummy’s and Daddy’s hand for some of the muddy bit. There was a big hill and at the end we got a medal and a goody bag. It was a lot of fun.
Our time was 1 hours and 45 seconds.
The end of Hope & Jake’s muddy report.

  1. Well done Jake and Hope. I hope you didn’t run too fast for mummy and daddy.

Five miles is a marathon for young athletes like you! Many congratulations. I was pleased that Luke ran the 1 mile course. He did it all without stopping once and overtook lots of other runners. He’s now asleep on the sofa. I hope you give your mum and dad a rest this afternoon.
