Congratulations to club members, Steve Cairns, Alex Lockwood and Chris Graham, who completed this year’s Loch Ness Marathon.
Just a few days after running a 55min 10 mile race, Steve ‘jogged’ around the marathon in a time of 2:52, and as David Coleman would probably have commented, “That is quite remarkable”. Alex posted a superb time of 3:27, knocking an amazing 37 minutes off his previous best time, while Chris, making his marathon debut, clocked a great time of 3:45.
Full race results can be found here and race report to follow.

Congratulations Alex on your PB and well done Chris for breaking your marathon duck. From what I’ve been told it’s not the easiest marathon course so you’ve both done fantastically well. So, as the saying goes, Eat, Drink and be Merry. You’ve earned it.

Great runs all three – Alex you’ve had a particularly good month with 5k, 1/2 and full marathon PB’s. Must be something right, well done!
