Due to the Blaydon Race taking place on the same day, numbers for Newcastle parkrun were slightly down compared to most weekends, but Tyne Bridge still had members running at both Newcastle and Sunderland events.
At Newcastle, five members tackled the 5k course around a damp and soggy Town Moor, with Tim HAWKINS being the first member home in a time of 21:19. First female finisher for the club was Katrina MATHESON, in 26:27. Making up the quintet were Vikki WAUGH 26:32, Jude SMITH 26:33 and Kerry MCANDREW 29:04.
216 participants completed the Newcastle event, with the first male to finish Lawrence MCCOURT (M) (Gateshead Harriers & AC) in a time of 00:16:33. The first lady completing the course was Marie Louise DROZDOWICZ (F) (Morpeth Harriers & AC) in a time of 00:22:09.

Meanwhile, over in Sunderland, Stephanie MCFARLANE completed the tough 5k course in 28:25.
95 participants completed the run on Saturday. The first male to finish was Tim FIELD (M) (Sunderland Harriers & AC) in a time of 00:17:31. The first lady completing the course was Danielle ELLIOTT (F) (Sunderland Harriers & AC) in a time of 00:21:50.
