Following the our very successful 1st season in the NEHL, the points have now been credited to all those who took part and the final tables are now available for the very first Tyne Bridge Harriers NEHL GP

Dave Moir

Congratulations go to Dave Moir for winning the TBH NEHL GP Mens prize after pipping Sparrow Morley to top spot following a close battle throughout the season. Fantastic running from Micky Baker too, who thought that he wouldn’t get to run many of the fixtures due to his new NEHL Shadow Secretary role, but managed to complete 7 of the 8 fixtures.

2nd Sparrow Morley 720

For the Ladies, the 1st Prize & congratulations go to the ever present Lisa Walker who has put in some very solid runs throughout the whole of the season.

Lisa Walker

Lisa was the only Tyne Bridge Harrier to complete all 8 of the NEHL races this season so again, a massive congratulations go out to her. Very well done also to runners up Jude Smith who completed 7 of the eight fixtures and Elspeth Lawson (completed 6). For your very first year at Cross Country Running, you have really put in some superb performances.

  1. Who set the handicaps again, a fine upstanding pillar of the community no doubt ?? I’m sure it’s all fair and above board!!!!

I seem to have a garden cane somehow attached to my person in that photo??

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate winner of the mens Handicap, a person who embodies the spirit of sportsmanship and encouragement to fellow competitors, one who would never ‘do’ an fellow club member and friend in the last 10 metres of a Harrier league. Well done to a true Corinthian Mr Dave’ Elbows’ Moir.
Well done to Lisa too, the only ever present throughout the winter, that is some achievement. Serously well deserved.

I think the garden cane explains the expression on your face Dave! Congratulations to you and Lisa on fine TBH XC seasons resulting in promotion for both men and ladies!
