The Only Way Is Essex (for Chris)

On Friday 16th September, one of Tyne Bridge Harriers most improved runners Chris Thompson will unfortunately be heading south to foreign shores… well.. Essex, to his new place of employment.

In his short time with us, Chris has been a superb addition to Tyne Bridge Harriers full of wit, charm and banter.. he’s also a great runner too !

He’s gonna be a miss to the club so to see the canny lad off to the land of warm beer & jellied eels, we are having a little ‘knees up’ at one of Newcastles finest Real Ale boozers The Cumberland Arms Ouseburn, just off Byker Bank on Saturday 10th September put the date in your diary and if you can get along, it will be great to see you there to give Chris a top Geordie send off.

I hate to see anyone leave TBH , Emmie Collinge was the 1st and looks like Chris you are the 2nd :(.

“Never say Never” . Nobody knows for sure what is going to happen and TBH will always be here for ye when you return Chris.

Looking forward to the Real Ale on the 10th and there is still another summer series for you to win before then though !
