Newcastle parkrun: GP Race 4 – Results

Tyne Bridge Harriers at this mornings Newcastle parkrun

TWENTY-THREE Tyne Bridge Harriers lined up at the start line on a beautiful sunny morning on the Town Moor today. This race marked the 4th race in our Newcastle parkrun Grand Prix (pronounced pree) and just like the weather.. it was going to be a scorcher !!

9 blistering PB’s !! congratulations to everyone who grabbed a shiny new PB. Well done also to Graham King for once again taking 1st Place in his age category (becoming a habit now Graham :-) ). Dave Appleby was 1st V45, well done Dave !! Our Club Captain, Paul Hilton was 1st V40. Great solid running from everyone today and the Black & White of the Tyne Bridge Harriers Vests was an amazing sight.

Chris Thompson gained his 6th PB in as many weeks (the boy is on a roll and not the bread or sausage variety). Denise Waugh knocked a further 16 seconds of her previous PB. Well done to Leodhais Macpherson for a great run.. and thanks to the support from his dad Kenny Macpherson who ran round with his son but did not record a time today.

Thanks goes out to the people who turned up to support TBH aroond the course

Our friend at Heaton Harriers, George Routledge, has posted some fantastic photos on FaceBook so take a look if you get the chance

outstanding results across the board. it tells you something about the club and the training when there are PB’s right across the slate – including the experenced runners. well done guys, great effort all round

ahem, despite running 20-odd parkruns and volunteering at even more… I forgot my barcode! I know I know, schoolboy error. Got it sorted now, if you want to check the results – 23rd place at 18m22s (wasn’t thrilled on the day but would’ve been over the moon with that a few months ago!)

    1. sorry Rob.. I didn’t notice you on the results when they came through.. is this cos you forgot your barcode you naughty boy !!

Anyhoo.. I’ve updated the table to include your good self.. well done on the time.. excellent stuff
